As promised from my Threadbare.co post here, I am finally uploading all of my behind the scene images from their amazing showroom. Threadbare.co have perfectly curated a collection of amazing pieces from international designers as well as a number of homegrown Australian designers including, AJE, Ellery, Dion Lee II and Josh Goot. Unvelievably, they are currently having up to 50% off their S/S 2012 stock and I am going mental just trying to decide how best to invest my moolah. I'm happy to announce that the Ellery Imperials Skirted Shell top is now offically mine, but now I'm thinking I need to give the matching pants a new home as well.
Back from when the weather was a little warmer, the sun came out more often to play and my hair was longer. Found this one in the old archive and thought I would put it to good measure. This Sass & Bide skirts its still a staple piece in my wardrobe even though things have cooled down a little. I love its hemline and obviously am very drawn to the colours as I have appropriately matched it with this amazing silk Country Road shirt (a much cheaper alternative to the infamous Equipment shirts, thats for sure!).
Just trying to think of who has inspired this obsession I have with beanies at the moment? Lara Bingle (anyone else obsessed with the new show?) is definitely up there, but I have been wearing mine non stop since I purchased it. Not only does it add the edgey vibe I'm usually looking for when trying to finish an outfit, but it was so damn cheap as well! Keeping me nice and warm is just an added bonus. On the topic of staying warm, this cozy Aviator Jacket by Club Couture is fast becoming one of my staple items for winter in Australia. I love its big floppy collar and how lovely and soft it is on the inside.
It's been weeks now, but I am still reminiscing over the MBFWA street style and all the wonderful stylish people I met. I will be back in Sydney on the 17th of July, holla at me if you will be around to share a skinny cap or a croissant with me? I'm ready to do this all over again!
Don't hate me... I think I am the only Australia blogger that is still posting pictures from MBFWA. It's just that I have so many, and I loved them all and want to share them with you. My problem though, has been lack of time and no motivation (because I'm tired).
Street Style photo thanks to the most AMAZING girl out there, Candice Lake. I think it is safe to say that this was the highlight of my week!
It's safe to say that I have NOT stopped thinking about the Elleryimperials skirted shell top & scuba classic tux pant. From the moment I put it on, I knew I was asking for trouble. Unfortunately these are not images of my newly purchased outfit, but instead the results of a fun morning spent playing dress ups at threadbare.co HQ. Thanks so much for having me guys, but you have honestly left me feeling horrible and empty inside. A hole, I believe, that can only be filled with the purchase of this amazing listerine coloured suit.
A girl can dream.
Venture back during the week for some behind the scene snapshots...
Favourite part of MBFWA? Heading backstage to where all the action is at.
Just a couple of my favourite snaps form the Camilla show. Loving the child prodigies and the familiar faces behind the scenes before the show. It was so amusing watching these little darlings with their big (and well practised) smiles, shinning for the camera. Even the professionals were rather entertained and amused by the idea of mini models strutting down the run way after them.
